Getting Help

I have talked many times in the past about my mental health. Lately my depression has been a thorn in my side. When times like this occur I immediately notify a loved one, in my case it is my wife. In those times of darkness I understand the emotion, the hopelessness, and how illogical it all is. I am surrounded by love and all of the light from people I know.

I just want to remind people that there are avenues of help if things get really bad. First either reach out to the suicide prevention lifeline at: or their phone number at 1-800-273-8255 or call 911.

Sometimes all we need is being told we matter. If anyone out there is not in danger and just needs to be reminded that they matter please reach out to me here or at my Twitter account

*edit – I recently changed my Twitter account. So this post has now been updated with the information.

And now for a small bit of humor. I saw this on Imgur this morning and wow how I can relate at times.
